I read an article about Obama linking him to becoming the next Hitler, and I will supply the link below the excerpts so you can see them in context. I just had a few questions about how White people see Black people. Unless you are a rapper or barely passed the 5th grade they don't expect any of us to be able to converse on a higher level than kids. They said the same thing about Colon Powell. That he spoke well.

I must confess I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident....

Those were all the things I was instructed to achieve in order to become successful in the White world. Now it seems its just an affliction of Uppityness.
Then next quote explaines how the untrustfulness of Obama came about...........""despite my initial interest in him, I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling."

The writer compares the adulation given Obama, to the same as the Iranians to Khomeini. Oh give me a break people. Women fall out when Denzel Washington appears and if Obama was in the movies the same would be with him, but I have yet to hear Denzel compared to Khomeini. JBut dont take my word for it, read the racist chant of prime time bigots that cant look a handsome, educated, confidential man in the eyes and not think uppity. Its just a shame they are that frightened of us. But like it was explained to me, everyone gets a turn in the barrel. It's their time.

The Most Important Day Of My Life

This is the day we older people thought we would never see. Couldnt imagine it even in our own minds. But I sit here now, full of hope, awe, pride, apprehension and about 15 other emotions I don't even have names for but today I feel everything we as a nation ever felt because, today is the culmination of a horror story. Oh there will be other horror stories, but this day win or lose, we celebrate the old slaves that were worked to death, our grandmothers that were raped and used, our children who were sold off far and wide until none of us can trace our complete family tree. We celebrate the courageous black women that made it possible to send some of us to freedom, those women that showed the world what a black woman's attitude and tolerance was from a seat on a bus. We celebrate the mothers whose sons came home from the war in a box she wasnt allowed to bury in the white graveyard because hers was full.

Today, if we see the first family of America with a deeper tan than usual, we will celebrate all the men that never got respect, all the women who were never appreciated, all that died trying to read, all those that were chattel and on and on but we will celebrate, because its been a long-ass row to hoe, but a change gonna come 'cause we can see the end of that row.

No one wants to talk but him

I always hit first and negotiated later. I figured that way they would understand my way was the most profitable for them. Of course my Mother had quite a different view that incorporated words of congeniality, compromise, eye to eye contact that had a mouth beneath that was smiling, a tone that was neither harsh nor weak. She went with the adage, "You can catch more flies with honey, than vinegar." She was the Lady, I was the wart hog.

Of course that was as far from my way of doing things as it is for Bush or Chaney and the rest of the buddy gang making money hand-over-fist from this stupid war, that is killing your kids and grandkids, stopping the linage of your family right here right now, because nobody is talking with out the mindset of control. Some think we are there for the oil, some think we are retaliating with force from 911, some think we are showing the world our patriotism, strength and united pride. From the looks of things, looks like we are showing our ass more than anything else. Personally I think we are there for the ancient artifacts. I know nobody will understand what I mean but that's ok.

McCain and cronies ridiculed Obama because he wants to talk to the opposing sides, to gain insight, maybe find a quiet way to stop this testosterone insanity. Show the world we don't have to rule the whole damn thing all at once. Maybe with a little common sense, a few well chosen words from a mind that has the ability to know a couple of big words, and a bit of humility from an extended hand, Who knows? I think we all agree at this point..........we can use a little honey in the pot.
